Most Turkish merchant bar re-rollers have raised their export prices by $10/mt on the lower end to $590-600/mt FOB from a week ago, for late March-early April shipment, amid relatively firm production costs, and costs of import billet in particular. "The TRQ (Tariff Rate Quotas) reductions coming in July could create localized shortages if EU mills are slow to ramp up output," one source commented.
Meanwhile, the SteelOrbis Turkish import billet daily reference price stands at $460-485/mt, remaining unchanged over the past week.
