Turkish merchant bar producers have kept their domestic prices unchanged in the local currency over the past week, while their prices have declined by $3/mt on US dollar basis amid the ongoing currency fluctuations. One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its equal angle price at TRY 25,200/mt ($606/mt) ex-works today, October 2.
Most merchant bar sellers are still offering either for deliveries in late October-early November or from stocks, depending on the size.
Most local buyers are monitoring the import scrap price trend, while purchasing in line with their daily needs.
