Today, September 8, Turkey’s Kardemir has opened its local billet sales for the first time in nearly a month and closed after a short while.

Accordingly, Kardemir has set its billet offer prices at TRY 3,195/mt ($428/mt) ex-works for S235JR grade, while its S420-B420 (formerly III-A) grade billet is available at TRY 3,230/mt ($433/mt) ex-works, up by TRY 145/mt ($12-13/mt) compared to the previous price. The producer has sold a confirmed total of approximately 29,100 mt of billet so far, though some sources believe that a total of around 80,000 mt of billet has actually been traded.
