Turkish mill Kardemir closes its domestic wire rod sales

Turkish steel producer Kardemir has closed its domestic wire rod sales today, February 21, after selling about 4,000 mt in total. The mill had opened its rebar sales on Tuesday, February 18, at the level of TRY 2,845/mt ($470/mt) ex-works for 6-28 mm wire rod SAE 1008-1010 grade.

The price in question equals to $467/mt at today’s exchange rate, which indicates a drop of $3/mt drop from the day the sales were opened.

Prices exclude 18 percent VAT.
