Today, May 17, Turkish steel producer Icdas has raised its local rebar price by TRY 170/mt ($10/mt) compared to last week’s prices to TRY 7,290/mt ($740/mt) ex-works. The increase is supported by the uptrend in the scrap segment, the company’s mostly filled export order books and the generally positive mood so far in the market.
The producer has also issued its wire rod price today at TRY 7,980/mt ($810/mt) ex-works, up by TRY 370/mt ($30/mt) over the same period.
Prices on Turkish lira basis include 18 percent VAT, while offers on US dollar basis do not.
