In the last two weeks, ex-Turkey merchant bar export offers have remained unchanged amid the silence in the international demand and most buyers are in a wait and see stance for now to have a better understanding in the raw material segment. Most merchant bar re-rollers from Turkey are offering for November-December shipments, with limited tonnages still available for October shipments depending on the size and the product type.

Turkish equal angle export prices are available at $700-720/mt FOB depending on the supplier and its order book. Turkish mills are still negotiating with the European buyers for December shipments for the next quota round which begins on January 1, 2022. According to sources, small tonnage transactions were rumored to Morocco, at around $765/mt CFR LO last week, which equals to around $685-690/mt FOB for November shipment.

Turkish merchant bar export prices are currently at the following levels:

IPN-UPN

710-730

Flat bar
