Turkish merchant bar export prices fall, buyers on hold

Over the past two weeks, Turkish merchant bar export prices have decreased by $20-30/mt due to negative sentiment in the import scrap segment and severe currency fluctuations. As a result, equal angles are on offer to the overseas markets at $660-680/mt FOB, while slightly higher levels are also observed. Buyers from North Africa are in the market with some price inquiries, Malaysia has also been asking for offers, SteelOrbis has learned. Currently, Turkish mills are in the market to sell for May-early June shipments.
