Turkish merchant bar export offers

Merchant bar export offers given from Turkey continue to show variation. The increases seen in billet and rebar prices have also affected merchant bar offers. It is heard that a producer has recently concluded 8,000 mt of merchant bar sales to Morocco and Algeria, indicating that demand has continued to come from these regions. As of this week, Turkish merchant bar export offers are as presented below. It should be taken into consideration that offers may show some variation depending on stock levels and regions.

Accordingly, Turkish rolling mills are offering angles for export at $470-490/mt FOB on actual weight basis for May shipments. In addition, IPN-UPN are being offered at $480-490/mt FOB, flat bars are being offered at $470-490/mt FOB, 80-100-120 mm IPE is being offered at $520-530/mt FOB, 80-100-120 mm IPE A is being offered at $520-530/mt FOB and 80-100-120 mm IPE AA is being offered at $530-540/mt FOB - all on actual weight basis, excluding VAT and also for May shipments.
