Turkish domestic wire rod prices move down, export prices stable

Domestic wire rod prices in Turkey have gone down by $5-10/mt over the past week amid low business activity. Currently, the prices for 6-7 mm mesh quality wire rod are as follows:

The above prices, which are on actual weight basis, exclude 18 percent VAT and are on ex-works basis. The offers may differ depending on buyers and order sizes.

Meanwhile, the majority of Turkey’s wire rod export prices for end of October-November shipments are standing at $435-440/mt FOB, in line with the end of last week. However, some producers voice somewhat higher levels, most probably not being in a rush to sell at the moment.
