As of today, March 25, official wire rod prices in Turkey have increased by $5-10/mt depending on the region compared to the previous day, due to higher production costs, in particular higher import scrap and energy prices. According to sources, one Iskenderun-based mill is rumored to be testing a wire rod price of $600/mt ex-works, up by $5/mt over the same period, depending on the tonnage and payment terms.
According to sources, workable wire rod prices in Turkey have settled at $595-610/mt ex-works, also up by $10/mt over the same period.
