As of today, July 3, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have remained unchanged in the local currency with a decrease of $1-2/mt on US dollar basis, compared to Monday, June 30. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 25,300-26,000/mt or $529-544/mt, ex-warehouse, depending on the region, at an exchange rate of $1 = TRY 39.86.
The official rebar prices in the Marmara and Izmir regions vary at $535-560/mt ex-works, including Icdas A.S.’s prices, unchanged as compared to June 30, while the workable rebar prices in these regions vary at $530-555/mt ex-works, also unchanged over the same period, for cash payment only.
One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its official rebar price today at TRY 26,750/mt ($559/mt) ex-works. Sources report a few re-rollers in this region are offering rebar at around TRY 25,400-26,000/mt ($531-544/mt) ex-warehouse, for serious buyers.
One Samsun-based mill has closed its rebar sales until Thursday, July 10.
Most local buyers are taking their time before deciding to conclude new purchases.
