Today, October 26, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have mostly increased by TRY 70-100/mt ($1-4/mt) as local mills have been aiming to offset the exchange rate fluctuations, and also supported by the positive sentiment in the import scrap segment. Accordingly, 12 mm spot rebar prices have settled within the range of TRY 4,250-4,330/mt ($445-454/mt) ex-warehouse, depending on the region.

Today, İçdaş has hiked its rebar price by TRY 90/mt to TRY 4,370/mt ($458/mt) ex-works, with its dollar-based price down by $2/mt from early this morning.

Most Turkish mills in Izmir and the Marmara region are currently offering rebar at around TRY 4,390-4,440/mt ($460-465/mt) ex-works. Moreover, sources report a small tonnage of rebar has been traded at TRY 4,280/mt ($448/mt) ex-works in the Izmir region today.
