Today, May 9, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have increased by TRY 200-300/mt with small changes on US dollar basis, as compared to Friday, April 29, to offset currency fluctuations after the holiday period. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 14,800-15,200/mt or $831-854/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Most mills in the Izmir and Marmara regions are offering rebar at $860-870/mt ex-works, while additional discounts are applicable for serious buyers. According to sources, a few mills are applying an aggressive pricing policy and giving large discounts in order to bring prices in line with local traders’ rebar prices.
