Turkish domestic rebar spot prices mostly stable

Today, July 31, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have risen by TRY 100/mt ($3-4/mt) in the Marmara region compared to Thursday, July 27, while rebar prices have remained stable in the rest of the country. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 18,000-18,200/mt or $557-563/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region, with an exchange rate of $1 = TRY 26.94.

Icdas A.S has kept its official rebar price at $580/mt ex-works today. An Iskenderun-based mill has kept its rebar price stable at TRY 18,000/mt (557/mt) ex-works at the current exchange rate. Sources report a few mills in the Izmir and Marmara regions are offering rebar at $560-575/mt ex-works. The local rebar market has had a quiet start to the week as the month is about to end. Most buyers are monitoring the import scrap price trend and the announcement of energy prices for August.
