As of today, April 7, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have mostly fallen by TRY 100-200/mt ($2-6/mt) amid sluggish demand and ongoing currency fluctuations, while prices only remained unchanged on Turkish lira basis with minor changes on US dollar basis in the Izmir region, compared to Thursday, April 3. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 25,500-26,200/mt or $559-575/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region, at an exchange rate of $1 = TRY 38.
The official rebar prices in the Marmara and Izmir regions still vary at $570-595/mt ex-works, including Icdas A.S.’s prices, while the workable rebar prices in these regions also vary at $565-590/mt ex-works, stable over the same period, for cash payment only.
Two mills in the Iskederun region have issued their rebar prices at TRY 26,000-26,500/mt ($570-581/mt) ex-works today. Sources report the workable rebar price in this region is close to TRY 25,800/mt ($566/mt) ex-works for serious buyers.
One Samsun-based mill has opened its rebar sales at TRY 26,500/mt ($581/mt) ex-works today.
