Today, November 16, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have increased by TRY 200-600/mt ($2-14/mt) over the past week, amid ongoing currency fluctuations and the positive sentiment in the import scrap segment. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 19,700-20,400/mt or $572-593/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region, with an exchange rate of $1 = TRY 28.68.
Icdas has kept its official dollar-based rebar price at $580/mt ex-works today. Most Izmir and Marmara-based mills are offering official rebar prices at $580-595/mt ex-works today.
One Iskenderun-based mill has closed its rebar sales today. Most buyers are just waiting to observe the import scrap price trend.
