Today, January 11, spot prices in the local Turkish rebar market have risen by TRY 20-70/mt, with minor changes on US dollar basis from the end of last week amid currency fluctuations. As of today, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 5,670-5,720/mt or $645-651/mt ex-warehouse depending on the region.
Most Marmara-based mills are currently offering rebar at TRY 5,670-5,890/mt ($645-670/mt) ex-works, today.
In the Izmir region, most mills are currently offering official rebar list prices at TRY 5,800-5,980/mt ($660-680/mt) ex-works. However, sources report special discounts are applicable for the higher end, as the price is significantly above the general rebar price range.
