Today, April 15, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have fallen by TRY 300-500/mt ($17-29/mt) amid the negative sentiment in the raw material segment. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 14,600-15,200/mt or $846-880/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Most mills in the Izmir and Marmara regions have kept their official rebar prices at $960-965/mt ex-works for now. According to sources, a few mills are applying aggressive pricing to generate sales and giving special discounts for serious buyers only. Turkish mills are expected to revise their rebar prices early next week when local traders’ current price range has been taken into account.
