As of today, April 3, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have fallen by TRY 100-300/mt ($1-6/mt) against the backdrop of sluggish demand and the ongoing currency fluctuations, compared to Thursday, March 27. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 25,500-26,400/mt or $560-580/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region, at an exchange rate of $1 = TRY 37,95
The official rebar prices in the Marmara and Izmir regions vary at $570-595/mt ex-works, down by $5/mt on the lower end, including Icdas A.S.’s prices, while the workable rebar prices in these regions vary at $565-590/mt ex-works, stable over the same period, for cash payment only.
One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its rebar price at TRY 26,000/mt ($571/mt) ex-works today. In addition, one Samsun-based mill has closed its rebar sales until Monday, April 7.
