Local rebar prices have remained stable in Turkey at the beginning of the new week with no fresh announcements from key producers. Traders are said to be operating with low stocks, while end-user demand is still rather weak. No recovery is expected in the short run, in particular due to the upcoming holidays. However, some positive changes may be possible in the longer term, following the reduction of the interest rates announced by the Turkish Central Bank on July 25, SteelOrbis understands.
