Local rebar spot prices in Turkey have risen by TRY 40-80/mt ($8-13/mt) today, April 7, supported by costlier scrap levels fixed in the most recent deals. Moreover, moderate sales have continued.
Sources report sales of 11,000 mt of rebar in Izmir at TRY 3,150/mt ($387/mt) ex-works, reaching 16,000 mt in total for this week for a single mill.
Marmara region-based Icdas has kept its 12-32 mm rebar price at TRY 3,200/mt ($404/mt) ex-works today, with its prices on US dollar basis rising by $3/mt. Some other mills in the area have been offering TRY 3,251/mt ($410/mt) ex-works.
In the Iskenderun region, Koc Metalurji has raised its 12 mm rebar price by TRY 50/mt ($9/mt) to TRY 3,250/mt ($410/mt) exworks. Bastug Metalurji has opened its sales today at the same level.
