Today, October 11, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have increased by TRY 100-180/mt ($5-13/mt), against the backdrop of currency fluctuations, costlier scrap and better sentiment among mills. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 7,400-7,480/mt or $699-707/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas has increased its rebar price by $20/mt to $700/mt ex-works today. In addition, the other mills in the Marmara region have started offering rebar at $705-710/mt ex-works today.
In the Izmir region, most mills are offering rebar at $700/mt ex-works. Sources report that special discounts are only applicable for serious buyers and for November deliveries.
In the Iskenderun region, one re-roller has opened its rebar sales at TRY 7,520/mt ($710/mt) ex-warehouse today.
