Local Turkish merchant bar prices have decreased by TRY 25-85/mt ($4-13/mt) over the past two weeks due to the negative sentiment in the scrap segment. “Most buyers have high stock levels, so they are delaying new purchases. Maybe they will buy in July,” a source mentioned. Buyers are expected to make their decisions after gaining a clearer picture on the scrap side.
