Turkey’s Kardemir sells over 90,000 mt of billet

As today, April 28, Turkey’s Kardemir opened its billet sales and later closed them within an hour after selling around 92,000 mt, sources report.

Accordingly, Kardemir set its billet offer prices at TRY 4,920/mt ($598/mt) ex-works for S235JR grade, while its S420-B420 grade billet was available at TRY 4,960/mt ($603/mt) ex-works. The above prices are TRY 25-40/mt ($13-15/mt) higher than the levels previously announced by the company on March 31.

Prices exclude 18 percent VAT.
