Turkey’s Kardemir sells over 20,000 mt of billet

Today, May 27, Turkey’s Kardemir opened its billet sales and later closed them within a couple of hours after selling around 22,000 mt, sources report.

Accordingly, Kardemir set its billet offer prices at TRY 5,850/mt ($691/mt) ex-works for S235JR grade, while its S420-B420 grade billet was available at TRY 5,895/mt ($697/mt) ex-works. The above prices are TRY 930-935/mt ($93-94/mt) higher than the levels previously announced by the company on Wednesday, April 28 .

Prices exclude 18 percent VAT.
