Turkey’s Kardemir raises its wire rod prices by $25

Today, March 8, Turkish integrated mill Kardemir has raised its dollar-based wire rod prices by another $25/mt against the backdrop of the positive sentiment in the import scrap and billet segments and the ongoing currency fluctuations. Accordingly, Kardemir’s price for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod is currently at $990/mt ex-works, while its 6-27 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $955/mt ex-works. In addition, 28-56 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $980/mt ex-works.

Wire rod prices exclude 18 percent VAT.
