Turkey’s Kardemir raises its wire rod prices

Today, March 10, Turkish integrated mill Kardemir has hiked its dollar-based wire rod prices by $45/mt in line with currency fluctuations and higher scrap prices in the local market. Accordingly, Kardemir’s price for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod is currently at $1,060/mt ex-works, while its 6-27 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $1,025/mt ex-works. In addition, 28-56 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $1,050/mt ex-works.

Wire rod prices exclude 18 percent VAT.
