Today, October 7, Turkish integrated mill Kardemir has opened its wire rod sales. Kardemir’s price for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod now stands at $800/mt ex-works, while its 6-56 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $775/mt ex-works. The producer’s wire prices have increased by $25/mt and $15/mt respectively compared to its previous list dated Thursday, August 26.
Most Turkish mills are currently offering mesh grade wire rod at $760-800/mt ex-works today. Kardemir’s wire rod price stands close to the lower end of this range, while most buyers are delaying new purchases. No fresh wire rod sales have been heard for now.
