Turkey’s Kardemir opens its wire rod sales

Turkish integrated mill Kardemir has opened its domestic wire rod sales, today, September 8, in line with its rebar and billet sales.The previous wire rod price list was dated August 27.

Accordingly, Kardemir’s price for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod is now at TRY 4,000/mt ($536/mt) ex-works, while its 6-56 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at TRY 3,955/mt ($530/mt) ex-works. The above prices indicate an increase of TRY 225/mt ($24/mt) compared to the previous list price. Sources report that approximately 6,000 mt of wire rod has been traded so far.

The abovementioned offers are valid for orders for 500 mt and higher, with 25 percent on cash payment basis, with 25 percent each on 30-day, 60-day and 90-day deferred payment basis, and with no interest accruing due to payment deferral.

Prices exclude 18 percent VAT.
