Today, January 18, Turkish mill Kardemir has mainly cut its prices of engineering grade wire rod products by $10-55/mt depending on the grade and size, compared to Wednesday, January 4. The main reasons are the negative sentiment in the import scrap segment and currency fluctuations. The mill has cut its 5.5 mm of SAE 1006 price by 20/mt over the same period, while keeping its price stable for  6-27 mm sizes.

The producer has issued its list prices only on US dollar basis, for cash payment, on ex-works basis.
