Today, May 12, Turkish integrated mill Kardemir has opened its dollar-based wire rod sales after a long break. The previous list was issued on Thursday, March 10. Accordingly, Kardemir’s price for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod is currently at $920/mt ex-works, while its 6-27 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $885/mt ex-works. In addition, 28-56 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $910/mt ex-works. The supplier’s 6-27 mm wire rod price is close to the lower end of Turkish mills’ current official wire rod price range of $870-970/mt ex-works.
