Turkey’s Kardemir issues merchant bar prices after long break

Today January 9, Turkish mill Kardemir has mostly kept its merchant bar prices stable, while cutting the prices of a few merchant bar sizes by $10/mt amid the relatively negative sentiment in the import scrap segment and sluggish demand, as compared to its previous price list issued on Thursday, September 26. According to sources the mill succeeded in selling around 60,000-65,000 mt of merchant bar so far.
