Turkish integrated mill Kardemir closed its wire rod sales by the evening of Thursday, August 17. According to sources, the producer succeeded in selling around 25,000 mt of wire rod.
Kardemir’s price for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod was at $585/mt ex-works, while its 6-27 mm wire rod of the same steel grade was offered at $570/mt ex-works. In addition, 28-56 mm wire rod of the same steel grade was offered at $590/mt ex-works.
Wire rod prices exclude 20 percent VAT.
