Turkish integrated mill Kardemir has closed its domestic wire rod sales, today, October 7, having opened them earlier on the same day. It has also opened its rebar and billet sales today. Its previous wire rod price list was dated September 8.
Accordingly, Kardemir’s price for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod is now at TRY 4,195/mt ($534/mt) ex-works, while its 6-56 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at TRY 4,150/mt ($529/mt) ex-works. The above prices indicate an increase of TRY 195/mt, with minor changes on US dollar basis, compared to the previous list price. Sources report that the producer has sold approximately 18,000 mt of wire rod.
The abovementioned offers are valid for orders for 500 mt and higher, with 25 percent on cash payment basis, with 25 percent each on 30-day, 60-day and 90-day deferred payment basis, and with no interest accruing due to payment deferral.
Prices exclude 18 percent VAT.
