Turkey’s Kardemir closes its wire rod sales

Turkish integrated mill Kardemir has closed its domestic wire rod sales in the evening of yesterday, September 8.

Sources report that the company sold approximately 14,500 mt of wire rod.

Kardemir’s price for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod was set at TRY 4,000/mt ($534/mt) ex-works, while its 6-56 mm wire rod of the same steel grade was offered at TRY 3,955/mt ($528/mt) ex-works.

Prices exclude 18 percent VAT.
