Earlier today, March 30, Turkey’s Kardemir cut its rebar price by TRY 445/mt ($31/mt) to TRY 13,880/mt ($724/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT, compared to its previous price list issued on Tuesday, March 14. It has since closed its rebar sales after a couple of hours. Kardemir’s rebar price was close to the lower end of the workable rebar price range in the Marmara and Izmir regions, which varied at $720-730/mt ex-works yesterday. The mill succeeded in selling over 25,000 mt, SteelOrbis has heard by the time of publication. In addition, sources report a few construction firms have this time shown interest in Kardemir's rebar sales.
