Turkey’s Icdas raises its local longs prices

Today, August 5, Turkish steelmaker Icdas A.S. has raised its official rebar price on lira basis by TRY 450/mt to TRY 13,785/mt (650/mt) ex-works compared to Monday, August 1, amid scrap suppliers’ firm stance on pricing and rapid currency fluctuations. The supplier has also increased its wire rod price by TRY 235/mt to TRY 14,420/mt ($680/mt) ex-works. On US dollar basis, rebar and wire rod prices indicate $20/mt and $10/mt increases respectively. Currently, most mills in the Marmara region are also offering rebar at $650/mt ex-works.
