Today, December 4, Turkish steelmaker Icdas A.S. has increased its longs prices, against the backdrop of the ongoing currency fluctuations and costlier import scrap, as compared to Friday, December 1. The mill has increased its official rebar price on lira basis by TRY 285/mt to TRY 19,060/mt ($600/mt) ex-works. The supplier has also raised its wire rod price, by TRY 285/mt to TRY 19,695/mt ($620/mt) ex-works. Both long product prices include 10 percent VAT and indicate a $10/mt increase on US dollar basis.
