Today, August 16, Turkish steel producer Icdas has cut its rebar price by $10/mt to TRY 6,910/mt ($690/mt) ex-works compared to the end of last week amid currency fluctuations and the silence on the demand side in line with the negative sentiment in the import scrap segment. The rebar price indicated a TRY 150/mt decrease in the local currency.

The producer has also issued its wire rod price today at $810/mt ex-works, equal to TRY 8,115/mt ex-works, down by TRY 55/mt over the same period. The producer’s wire rod price has remained unchanged at $810/mt on US dollar basis.

Prices on Turkish lira basis include 18 percent VAT, while offers on US dollar basis do not.
