Turkey’s Icdas cuts its longs prices sharply

Turkish steelmaker Icdas A.S. has cut its official rebar price on lira basis by TRY 420/mt to TRY 15,760/mt ($710/mt) ex-works, amid the negative sentiment in the import scrap segment and currency fluctuations, as compared to Thursday, January 5. The supplier has also decreased its wire rod price by TRY 420/mt to TRY 16,200/mt ($730/mt) ex-works over the same period. On US dollar basis, both product prices indicate a $20/mt decrease.
