Turkey’s Icdas adjusts its longs prices to offset currency fluctuations

Today, February 25, Icdas A.S. has cut its official rebar price by TRY 240/mt to TRY 12,315/mt ($740/mt) ex-works to offset currency fluctuations. The exchange rate was at $1 = TRY 14.38 yesterday. The supplier has also decreased its wire rod price by TRY 270/mt to TRY 13,645/mt ($820/mt) ex-works. The producer has kept its dollar-based longs prices unchanged. Sources report no additional discounts are applicable on the producer’s dollar-based longs prices for now as it seeks to avoid currency fluctuation risks.
