Turkey’s Icdas adjusts its longs prices in lira basis to offset currency fluctuations

Today, November 15, Turkish mill Icdas has increased its rebar price by TRY 60/mt to TRY 8,860/mt ($750/mt) ex-works compared to Thursday, November 11 amid rapid currency fluctuations. The exchange rate was $1 = TRY 9.94 on the same day.

The supplier has also issued its official wire rod price at TRY 10,040/mt ($850/mt) ex-works today, up by TRY 70/mt over the same period. The producer’s dollar-based longs prices have remained unchanged.

Prices on Turkish lira basis include 18 percent VAT, while offers on US dollar basis do not.
