Summer lull in European rebar market

In the European rebar market, prices are following a sideways trend, with no change being observed since last week.

Accordingly, rebar prices in the southern European market are standing at €515-520/mt ($632-638/mt) for deliveries to customer, while rebar export offers from southern Europe are still at €500-510/mt ($614-626/mt) FOB.

Despite the anticipation of higher scrap prices, poor demand in Europe amid the continuing summer holidays is preventing rebar prices from edging upwards.
