It is observed that demand for Spanish rebar in the international markets has remained at low levels over the past week. Market sources state that Spanish rebar export prices are higher than the prices of their competitors in the global markets, and so buyers do not show any preference for Spanish rebar. Due to their higher productions costs resulting from higher import scrap prices, Spanish rebar mills have raised their export offers by an average of €5/mt week on week to €485-495/mt ($548-559/mt) FOB.
