While the strong position of the Turkish lira against the US dollar have given way to another depreciation trend, Turkish Central Banks also announced a change in its policy for reserve requirement ratios for local exchange deposits and participation funds yesterday. In the light of these developments, spot prices in the local Turkish rebar market have increased sharply.
Today, Icdas has increased its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 51/mt at TRY 2,619/mt ($460/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT.
