Romanian rebar buyers have been interested in imports, taking into account the gradually reviving domestic demand and the price trend. Offers are mainly coming from neighboring countries. In particular, Hungary and Bulgaria are in the market with €445/mt and €438/mt CPT Cluj for late September delivery. The rebar price from Italy for the Romanian market has been reported at €440/mt CPT Cluj. However, early this week 20,000 mt of rebar was traded from Italy at €435-440/mt CFR Costanza for October shipment.

Local prices for rebar in Romania are reported at €430-435/mt CPT, excluding 19 percent VAT.
