As of today, August 28, local rebar prices in the Turkish spot market mostly have risen by TRY 100/mt ($1-2/mt) compared to August 25 in the Iskenderun and Karabuk regions in order to offset currency fluctuations, while remaining stable on lira basis with minor changes on US dollar basis in the rest of the country. Consequently, local 12 mm rebar prices in the spot market are now at TRY 26,200-27,000 /mt ($532-548/mt) ex-warehouse, with the exchange rate at $1 = TRY 41,035.
