Greek producers have been offering medium size rebars to the local market at €860-880/mt delivered to customer on actual weight basis with 90-day deferred payment, excluding VAT.

The local demand level for rebar is still not so strong in Greece. In addition to the sluggish housing sector, the hot weather conditions with temperatures as high as 40 Celsius have also been contributing to this situation. The Greek rebar market generally slows down from mid-July and awakens again in September. The market is now already waiting for September.
