The price level of imported rebar in the UAE market is at around AED 2,325-2,380/mt ($633-648/mt) delivered to site on a theoretical weight basis for 3- and 5-month deferred payment, excluding VAT.
Domestic retail market has increased slightly due to the rising import offers' pressure. According to the reports, there are prices close to AED 2,400/mt ($654/mt). Turkish producers have begun to offer above $610/mt CFR levels on theoretical weight basis due to the rising scrap prices and freight rates. However, some producers prefer to wait instead of making offers. Likewise, big buyers are trying to resist to the price increases.
