The last Brazilian import rebar offer from China, referring to the QC/HRB400 grade, was priced at $528/mt CFR conditions, in a port in the south or southeast coast of Brazil, against $535/mt one month ago.

In October, no rebar imports were registered by the Brazilian customs authorities, against 2,900 mt imported from Turkey in September at $488/mt, FOB conditions.

A distributor in Rio de Janeiro remains selling rebar in very small volumes in the domestic market at BRL 4,576/mt ($1,095/mt), the same price in BRL over the last two months, full taxes and delivered to customer. Such price, with reference to the CA-50 grade and 10mm diameter, can receive substantial discounts in case of large volumes or direct sales by the steel producers.

USD = BRL 4.18 (November 22)
